The Waze GPS navigation app now supports the Apple Music music streaming service.
GPS navigation applications allow us to have adapted interfaces when we are driving. One of the main features is support for music streaming services. This allows drivers to easily skip to the next or previous music, or pause. Good news for users of Wazethe app now supports AppleMusic on iPhones.
Apple Music now controllable from Waze
Waze just made an interesting change for Apple Music users. The navigation platform now supports the streaming service on iOS. After giving permission to access Apple Music on the GPS application, it is possible to enjoy the streaming service via an audio player during your journeys. As a reminder, Waze already supported other music streaming services, such as Spotify since 2017, but also Pandora, TuneIn and Deezer thereafter, as well as Amazon Music, YouTube Music or even iHeartRadio. That’s not all, the app also supports podcast services, including Audible, NPR One, and Stitcher. Apple Music was therefore well behind the other platforms integrated into Waze.
In case you use the Waze GPS application as well as Apple Music, know that to take advantage of the integration of the service, you only have to touch the music-shaped icon present on the home screen. In case this does not work, go to the section My Waze present at the bottom left of the application; touch the gear-shaped button to access the settings; open menu audio player ; and select Apple Music.
As a reminder, Apple Music offers a catalog of 90 million songs. Waze thus offers access to this library directly in its application, and thus facilitates the launching of reading lists or even radio stations while driving. Apple has also come to offer its service on other media in recent months, with in particular the arrival of Apple Music on PS5/.
