At 36, Damien Cacquevelle, a pizza maker since the age of 20, wants to take La Vaunage to his planet of pizzas.
After holding a truck on Vauvert and helping to open a family restaurant in La Grande-Motte, Damien sets himself a third challenge. Aware of the fact that some are surprised to see a new pizzeria open in the area, Damien, supported by his wife and two boys, is certain of being able to bring something to a territory that has always attracted him. “A family of pizza makers took me under their wing when I was 20, they were kind enough to pass on to me the knowledge of their house, founded in 1986, he explains. I in turn continue the transmission of flavors and this know-how”.
He goes on to explain that his pizzas are quite different from what we are used to seeing in La Vaunage, the dough is thin, far from Neapolitan pizza, the cooking method is different. “I worked on the menu so that everyone can find their way around, I open this business thinking of the good times that customers will be able to share around my pizzas”, he concludes.
We wish Damien, that the customers are transported in his universe.
His pizzaria was inaugurated this Thursday, May 5 at noon.
