PPDA accused of rape: “At the time, women did not speak”, Jacques Legros breaks the silence

Several months since the first accusations against Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, a TF1 journalist spoke. This is Jacques Legros, who claims never to have heard of these facts at the time.

For several months, accusations of rape against PPDA have been rife. On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 18 women altogether testified openly against the former 8 p.m. news presenter on TF1near Mediapart. “All of us, here, we went to tell our stories to justice. Tuesday April 26, 2022, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor had decided to defend himself by filing a complaint against these women for “slanderous denunciation”, as reported by our colleagues from France info. “It is time for these accusations to be judged. We cannot accuse falsely and with impunity”, declared the former star presenter of the JT at 8 p.m. on TF1.

In the program broadcast on RTL this Saturday, May 28, 2022, Jacques Legrosthe joker of Marie-Sophie Lacarrau at 1 p.m. on TF1, claimed never to have known of such acts on the part of PPDA. But according to him, itit’s not surprisingsince the facts took place at a time when speech was far from being free, unlike today. “It does not surprise me because it did not come out (…) Back then women didn’t talk and that’s not a reproach (…) It seems so obvious today to talk about all this, to spread it, but it was not the case at that time”, he confided.

Accusations that he sometimes finds difficult to understand since he occupied his offices for a long time next to Patrick Poivre d’Arvor: “I could have been the first to know because I had an office not far away, I often crossed paths and I knew his entourage well, but no”, he said.

More recently, Gilles Bouleau assured that he had never seen anything abnormal: “Many people who were in the editorial staff like me did not know. I have no reason to lie, I have no particular animosity, nor protection to be grantedsaid, in early May, the journalist on the set of “We are live” on France 2.

For now, PPDA is presumed innocent of the charges against him.
